From our President!
First off - let me start out by wholeheartedly apologizing for allowing our Badger State "ship" to basically run aground! With so much going on - I've gotten a little disorganized, but it is time to turn our ship around and sail full speed ahead!
Charlotte Hartwig, Heather Gadberry, Kim Wilson, Lynne Wickerham and I have been working hard at planning the 2011 WI/MN Annual Meeting - an event that is actually being HOSTED by Badger State! The plans are coming along great and our registration mailer actually went out today (July 1)! With that in mind - please share details with any/all interested parties! We have secured all of our speakers and the event will surely offer something for everyone! The WI/MN website shows program we are offering and any updates will be posted there.
We are IN NEED of Badger State membership assistance during this event! On Thursday evening (September 29) we will be "stuffing" attendee folders, bags and assembling name badges. As Charlotte and I also have the WI/MN BOD meeting that evening, we could sure use more help! Early Registration will also be available for our attendees and Heather Gadberry has agreed to man the registration table that evening - but we could use more assistance during this same time for the folders and bags. PLEASE let me know if you are going to be available to help out on Thursday evening.
We also need assistance in the following areas and are looking for volunteers:
REGISTRATION TABLE (Friday, 9/30): 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Registration will be close enough to the meeting room that sessions don't need to be missed)
REGISTRATION TABLE (Friday, 9/30): 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
REGISTRATION TABLE (Sat. 10/1): 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
BADGER STATE DOOR PRIZE: Each chapter supplies a door prize. Cost should be in the range of $50.00. Is someone willing to shop for a Badger State door prize? The cost will be reimbursed from our treasury.
BADGER STATE SILENT AUCTION DONATION: We need someone to bring a silent auction item. This can be a basket, a unique gift - whatever! Attendees will bid on silent auction items and monies will be donated to the charity we select. Cost should be $50-$75 and again, will be reimbursed through our treasury.
LASTLY - BUT VERY IMPORTANT!!! We need to get our membership back in place!!!! You can find a link to the registraton form on this page to print out, fill out and return BY AUGUST 1, 2011. NEW MEMBERS are always welcome!!!!
Thank you for your patience - and I look forward to seeing all of you again soon - hopefully in LaCrosse for sure! Once membership is updated - maybe we can organize a social gathering either before or after LaCrosse?
